WHAT WE STORE

Essentials that keep the site working, plus basic analytics that show which pages help people most.

The essentials are two records in your browser’s own storage rather than cookies we set. One remembers whether you accepted or declined the banner, so it stops asking. The other holds an in-progress booking for two hours, so a refresh or a closed tab cannot lose a payment that already went through; it clears itself once the booking is confirmed or the two hours pass. On the payment step, Stripe sets its own cookies to detect fraud.

The rest is measurement. Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel load with the page and set cookies that identify your browser, so we can see which pages and which ads lead to a booking or an event inquiry. Those cookies are set by Google and Meta, not by us, and they are read on other sites those companies serve.

YOUR CONTROLS

Your browser settings let you clear or block cookies at any time. The essentials are needed for booking to work.

The banner on your first visit is where you accept or decline the advertising cookies. Declining tells Google to stop using ad storage from that point on and stops the Meta pixel sending anything further. It does not remove what was already set before you answered.

Clearing site data for theworldofblue.com removes all of it, including the record of your answer, so the banner will ask again on your next visit. Questions go to hello@theworldofblue.com.

We use strictly-necessary cookies to run the booking flow, plus optional advertising cookies (Meta + Google Ads) to measure ad performance. You can accept or decline the optional ones. Privacy policy.
